In Chacco-Blue’s hoofprints
With a high ranking in the 5*Grand Prix in Gijon he had already made a name for himself but after the FEI Nations Cup Final in Barcelona in 2018, the entire showjumping world got to know Chaclot. Ridden by the Italian Riccardo Pisani, the phenomenal jumping stallion was one of a select few horses that managed to go clear for two successive days during the extremely tough Nations Cup Final. And all this at just nine years of age. Due to his sports career Chaclot has barely been used for breeding but, with his appealing looks, powerful canter, athletic ability and last but not least his striking pedigree, this jumping star is a producer in the making.
His sire Chacco-Blue
Exceptionally interesting is sire Chacco-Blue, the unrivalled number 1 on the world ranking list of the best jumping horse progenitors. In 2018 an unprecedented 170 of his offspring were awarded FEI-ranking points. With his potential, Chaclot is one of the best that the illustre Chacco-Blue has produced and he thus joins a row of other well-known progeny of the top-producer such as Explosion W (Ben Maher), Chacco Kid (Eric Lamaze), Chacco’s Son (Maurice Tebbel) and VDL Group Miss Untouchable (Leopold van Asten). As Chacco-Blue unexpectedly passed away in 2012, his semen that is still available is extremely scarce and exceptionally few offspring are born. His genes are still indirectly available, and the best are present in Chaclot.
The dam Flying P
Bred by Gestüt Lewitz, the Oldenburg-approved Chaclot is out of the mare Flying P. She is a daughter of the 1.50m-level Fly High I (s. For Pleasure), who has produced various international jumping horses up to 1.60m-level. One generation further we find Chaclot’s granddam Pirett. She contributes the valuable direct bloodline of the great Westphalian Pilot. Out of the Westphalian damline of Grand Prix star Chaclot, we also find the 1.60m-level Zangersheide approved Poleander (s. Polydor).
