KWPN Stallion Show’s uncrowned king
Mowgli V.O.D. was among the six premium stallions of the 2020 KWPN Stallion Show. The most popular stallion on site was generally seen as the uncrowned king of this edition. Later in the year the longlined appealing talent once again proved his qualities under the saddle.
Expectations around Mowgli are high. First of all, he brings Grand Prix talent through his sire Desperado N.O.P.. This stallion belongs to the top of Dutch dressage with Emmelie Scholtens and continues to develop in the Grand Prix. During the European Championships in Rotterdam, this combination belonged to the silver winning Dutch team.
Mowgli V.O.D. is out of a prominent dam line and his dam Zoriana is even one of the better brood mares in the Netherlands. Zoriana is by Jazz, and we also see this stallion in the bloodline of Desperado. It explains the similarity of Mowgli to his legendary grandsire.
Zoriana herself scored no less than 90 points in the IBOP and received a 10 for her phenomenal trot. She also produced the KWPN approved Kjento and with Mowgli her second approved son in a row. Zoriana is also known as the dam of the winner of the NMK 2015: Heliana V.O.D. and she is granddam of Danish approved Lance V.O.D.. Mowgli’s granddam Poriana produced several high-ranked dressage horses and great-granddam Koriana even produced three Small Tour horses. The Grand Prix horse Zaragoza also stems from this line
Pregnancy Arrangement
You have the option to take out a pregnancy arrangement. The fixed fees are €250,- and when in foal a further €750,- must be paid. The total cost is therefore €1,000,- The shipping costs for this in Holland are €33,-.
